Just list the models you have found to work. I am mostly stuck with 10x42 roof prisms as my standard binocular. I had mostly given up on 10x25 of all sorts, though I still have some reverse porros. I am hesistant about 10x30 and 10x32, as I know it has limits. Yet the Zeiss Conquest 10x30 has some appeal for me. I will have to check one out at some point. These 10x models are mostly for viewing distant birds, especially the 10x30. I can manage a few closer birds with my 10x42.
Finally, are there any 10x porros anybody has been happy with? I would settle for close focus of 13ft.
I could settle for a 10x42 in which case I always enjoyed the Monarch in the mid price range. The 10x50 configuration appeals to me a bit more though especially in terms of overall image quality. The exit pupil size coupled with the bright, detailed image satisfies me a bit more than the 42 mm configurations. The only downside is that their overall size tends to be a bit larger and heavier. Still, I prefer them optically.
The only 10x porro I seem to remember having a favorable impression over initially was the Bushnell Legacy. However, subsequent experiences with it left me a little less than thrilled. How about the 10x42 Bushnell Discoverer Porro? Though discontinued in general I am sure you could find one or two places that might still carry it.
Optolyth Alpin 10x40 is well worth considering ,very bright.
