Hi, new member looking for info, need to replace my old binoculars with new or used that are equivalent.
Purchased mine from Sears Roebuck in the late 60's, 7x50's with a field of view of 525ft at 1000 yards according to lens markings. I'm unable to find equivalent anyplace. Did everyone stop making WA binoculars?: h?: Regards.

Welcome to the forum. To answer your question I think the answer is unfortunately 'yes' if you're talking about 7x50's. Most 7x50's now have a field of less than 400ft at 1000yds. The only exception I can think of is a specialist astronomy 7x50 by Miyauchi but it's huge and expensive. See this link:

For the widest field of view at a reasonable price you probably should look at the 8x30 format these days.
Out of the binoculars I have had the pleasure to own or look through the Nikon Action EX 7x35 had the widest field of view....somewhere close to 500 feet if I remember correctly. The now discontinued Nikon EII 8x30 was another that was in the high 400's (460 or so). I do not remember any others.
