Binoculars for observing raptors???

I want to do some raptor (birds of prey) observing this fall. Currently, I have the following binoculars on the shelf.

Nikon Travelite V 8x25 (9 oz)
Leupold Katmai 6x32 (18 oz)
Minox HG 8x33 BR (21 oz)
Swift Audubon 820ED 8.5x44 (24 oz)
Garrett Signature 22x85 HD-WP (160 oz)

The 22x85s put me there, but taking the 25-lb setup (binocular/tripod/fluid mount) to the viewing locations over steep nature trails is a rough "walk in the park."

What binocular models do some of you use for observing raptors?

yes, use your
Leupold Katmai 6x32 (18 oz)
Minox HG 8x33 BR (21 oz)
Swift Audubon 820ED 8.5x44 (24 oz)

I use 8x or 10x roofs, whatever is on hand.

Most raptor watching this side of the pond is done on 8x42, 8x32 or 10x42. My preference is 10x42 although as I'm using the older (heavy) Nikon HG I also use a finn stick. I still believe a scope is a must for any close, prolonged observation, I use a Leica 62 with 26mm lens along with a lightweight tripod which allows for long distance backpacking.
