Advice Needed re. Myopia and Bins

Am posting this on behalf of a friend who suffers from severe myopia and is trying to get a pair of bins to suit his needs. The major problem he has is that one eye is severely different from the other (-16 and -10) and he is having difficulty finding a pair of bins which can compensate this. Can anyone recommend optics or ways of solving this problem? He is currently using a monocular however the ability to use bins would greatly help him out as he also is suffering premature cataracts.
Having been out with him in the field and realising just how frustrating this is, (we all take good eyesight so forgranted), any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks

John.

Uhhhh...can't he use eyeglasses?

Wow, I thought I was nearsighted with a -5.75 correction, but I wear contact lenses and have no problem with any kinds of optics whatsoever. The cataracts will, of course, be a continuing problem until/unless he has those surgically dealt with. Are you saying he's trying to find some kind of prescription eyepiece for binoculars, like those that are available for camera viewfinders?
