I'm off binocular shopping just after Christmas, and looking around the web it certainly seems the Opticron BGA SE's are a great pair of bins for my price range (£300-400), and will be top of my list to have a look at.
Has anyone got any tips as to what other bins I should try in that price range before I buy?

Zen Ray has some very attractive prices right now on their EDs, more than half off, so under $300. Of course shipping to the UK may eat up some of the savings.
These binocs have developed a real fan club on this site in the past year, among very knowledgeable birders, so you might take a look.
