I bought another pair of binoculars from eBay. Carton 7x35. The surface is a bit cut up, as you can see, but optically, they're surprisingly good for £9. At 660g, they're heavier than I normally want, and the strap, which I've removed, was connected to the body by means of a number of interlinking sharp metal whoosits. Maybe that explains the cuts. That and the fact that the case is so tight you need a crowbar to get them out. They seem to me to be a Japanese attempt to clone an early pair of something German. Can anyone give me any information about them?

They look somehow similar to Carl Zeiss Jena Notarem 8x32.
