whats with these Autofocus Binoculars the few i have seen are cheap as chips why have Leica and co not made a good one i have missed a few fly overs turning the focus wheel the wrong way....

Never heard of Žem. But I love the "father and son team" thing, and "I know jack..."
LOL! I canŽt imagine anything autofocus in bins would adjust quickly enough for flying birds, though.
Autofocus binoculars really means binoculars without focusing mecanism. Where is the miracle? With a good deep of field, they can get enough focusing while the optics wasn't too exigent. These kind of binoculars are not advisable for birding cause how far is their minimum focusing distance. On the positive side, very reliable one time they lack of mobile elements.
