I need your help. I want to clean and collimate the sharp optics of my old Barr & Stroud 8x30 binoculars. There is no problem for me to open and clean the prism near the oculars but I donīt know how to disassemble the parts at the other end of the binoculars! How can I remove the objective lens tube (screwing it to the left or to the right as in the case of the old Leitz and Zeiss binoculars?). Whatīs the type of collimation adjustments find in this binoculars and how can I recollimate them (beneath the decorator caps there are 4 little screws. What is their function?)
