Best 7x42 (low/mid-price)

I like 7x and I'm interested in finding a good low to mid-price 7x42 (available in the UK market) that I can take out with the kids, leave in the car, lend to careless friends etc. without worrying about them. Does anyone have any recommendations ? I'm aware that field of view and apparent field of view may be limited at this price level.
The suspects I've lined up so far are:
Avian 7x42 from Ace Cameras
Canon 7x42 (I quite like the look of these)

Minox BD 7x42 BR (a bit too pricey but I have the Minox 10x52 and like it a lot)
Opticron Imagic TGA 7x42 (porro)

Any others I should look at ?
Thanks!

I am not familiar with the binoculars you listed. The only mid-low priced 7x42 binocular that I would recommend is the Bushnell Discoverer. They can be found in the low to mid $300s US at several popular internet retailers. Image quality and overall handling is excellent in my opinion.

The only ones I'm familiar with are the Minox BD 7x42 BR, which I own. I got mine new on Ebay for $325. The field of view is a little tight, but in every other category they are fantastic. Great value for the money. I also own Swaro's and Leica Ultravids, and the Minox continue to impress. Gotta love 7x.......
