Hi Guys, what i'm looking for is a decent pair of binoclars that i can use for bird and insect watching, but i'm getting a little confused as what would be ideal for me.
Price wise my buget would be in the £400 bracket, maybe more if i have too and i was looking at the Avian 10x42 , nobody seems to mention these very much, are they very good for the money ? or do i need to be looking at Bushnell or the like ?
Cheers Chris.

Probably at that price point the Zen Ray 8x43 ED would give you the best view if you need a waterproof roof prism if not try a Nikon 8x30 EII which is a porro prism and is not waterproof but has excellent optics. Never heard of Avian nor have I tried them.
Hawke Frontier ED. Easily obtinable in UK, expect to pay around £250-260 at London Camera Exchange. Not much to touch them particularly for price.
