It seems like we go in life cycles with binoculars, as with most other things.
Beginners start with cheaper, more locally available binoculars.
Then they advance to a trial and error period getting better and/or different binoculars.
Then reach a period of "maturity" when they accept what they have as the best for them.
So, my question, what binocular do most accept as the best for them ?

I will start by answering my own question:
-for general use and birding, SW8.5x42EL (not SV)
-for astronomy Miyauchi 20x100s

My ultimate bins are the Swarovski 7x42 Habicht I own and prefer for general birding / wildelife watching.
The pair to wish are the Zeiss 8x56 for spotting during dusk, night, and down. And for seawatching a pair of stabilized Zeiss 20x60. Those would be great!
But for the next years the Habicht will suffice.
One note I need to make; I prefer more bulky binoculairs.
