I have pretty much decided to get a swift audubon 8.5x44 ed but thought I'd get a few opinions as to what else might give a top view for not too much money.Size is not an issue.

My vote goes for a Leupold Mesa 10x50 Porro. $200.00@ Walmart. If you want a roof prism I would go with a Nikon Monarch 8x42. Less than $250.00 if you shop. I would bet if you compare the Swift to the Nikon Monarch you would like the Nikon better. Try it before you buy it!
