Hi,I have seen some ads for optics doublers,One I saw was for a Bushnell elite optics 2.5 doubler. I am interested in knowing how well these work and how do they effect the FOV,brightness, detail etc.ARE they capable of working on any binocular ? I would really appreciate information from people who have used them. Thanks,Craig

Sure, they can work on any binocular the piece fits on. Whether you will like the results is another question. I suspect that you will find the image will be less bright, field will be narrower and the detail will seem less crisp. Don't forget that a small 10x handheld binocular will also magnify any handshake if the magnification is increased to 25x. Whether those changes are acceptable tradeoffs for a bigger image can be best answered by trying the doubled in the field. I would suggest that you buy from Amazon, Adrorama or B&H and give it a try. Those companies have decent return policies.
Hi Craig
I was fairly unimpressed when I tried the Swarovski Doubler on my EL 10x42. The poor view put me off the idea of buying one.
