I'm new to birding and would like some help with purchasing new binoculars.
I would like to spend 5-6 hundred.
Any guidance would be very helpful
Hi Reap and welcome to BF. I think you've probably posted this in the wrong area. Try http://www.birdforum.net/forumdisplay.php?f=112, and have a read through for advice.
IMHO 5-6 hundred is way more than any beginner should want or need to pay. My bins and scope together are only just worth that. I'd get yourself down to a specialist birding equipment retailer like In Focus, preferably on a reserve, and get advice and try out equipment under real conditions.
