Reccomendations please for some binoculars that would cost under £200, these would be a secondary pair and would ideally meet the following requirements:
Lightweight
Roof prism (as lighter than porro prisim?)
Suitable for teenagers also
some guarantee with them,
not rubbish that I would regret buying
available in the Uk
Think that has covered it all
I've just registered here, with the aim of posting the same question :)
I am primarily a walker who wants a decent pair of binoculars, this community seemed the best place to ask, that I can find.
If it's any help, my question was going to be a request for advice regarding two models of Hawke, that I have chosen to buy, I'm only going to buy one, of course, I was wondering if they are 'good' choices, I will be trying them this week.
They are: Endurance fs 8x42 and the Frontier 8x32.
Weight won't be an issue as I'll have them on a pack harness system.
I'll be using them whilst on the fells for 'general' use and, hopefully, to try and identify and enjoy some of the large birds that I have seen over the last few weeks, but, as yet, have no idea about!!
Any advice would be much appreciated and welcomed.
Best wishes.

Take a look at the Bushnell Natureview Roofs, available in 10x42 and 8x42 selling for around £130.
Try them out before deciding and where possible take a look at two or three samples of each model as sometimes you see batch variation.
