These are Bresser/Luchs 10x50 and 16x50 binoculars, as often used by my fellow astronomers. Telescope House are now offering them at only £30.
I have no affiliation with the company, just thought it may help some beginners. A bit heavy and a narrow FOV, but I know the optics are good and they are ruggedly and very well built.
