Do you actually click the google ads showing up on the forum? I made a point to click once or twice a day, as an alternative way to support Birdforum. 
It does not cost me anything and I am wasting my time on the birdforum already, so extra couple of clicks do no harm.
I'm ignorant about such things. You're saying that BF benefits financially from each click even if there's no follow through in the form of a purchase (or whatever), is that right? If so, I'll start clicking!
