As good close focus is something that many people look for in binocluars I was wondering which currently available model has the closest focus, and just how close can you get.
I did a bit of a rough test with the four pairs of bins that I own and was somewhat amazed to find that my main bins (7x42 ultravids) only came third, the listed close focus of 3.3m seems to be about right. They were out done by my Opticron travellers 8x32s which have a listed close focus of just 1.5m, which again seems correct as I can focus on my own feet.
So does anyone know of a binocular that can focus even closer?
The Pentax Papilo focuses down to 1.6' I believe.
