Compact bin advice/tips

Hello

I'm currently looking to augment my 10x42's with a good quality compact bin. So far my shortlist is -

Opticron DBA 8x21
Nikon 8x20 HGL
Leica Ultravid 8x20
Zeiss Victory 8x20

I haven't been able try the Zeiss yet but have compared the Nikon/Leica side by side and the Opticron separately.

I'm likely to go for a another viewing (and try to find the Zeiss) and would appreciate any advice on the performance differences that more experienced users/owners have noticed between these products. Are there certain viewing conditions I should try that should highlight a relative strength or weakness of the optics for example ?

Price is a consideration but all are within budget.

Thanks you.

Avi.....is waterproof a deciding factor? If not, give the Bushnell 7x26 a try. For around $250US they can't be touched, and are every bit as good optically as any of the "alphas", all of which are at least double their price and have tiny 2.5mm exit pupils.

Thanks for the info.

Does not being waterproof affect fogging performance ?
