Hi,
I am wondering if these two binoculars are basically the same? Which model is
the better build quality?
Also, would the new Vortex Talon HD 10 x 42 be much better in optic quality to the
above two model?
I kind of have limited choices since I have somewhat of close set eyes and need
a binocular with a minimum IPD of 57mm....58mm will not work, as I can not
get a full viewing circle with the barrels completely closed.

Hmm, the Vortex should be pretty good. Have not seen Monarch for a while, but get the regular not the X, if you get that.
