Hi everyone,
I wear glasses but next week I am having a fitting for contact lenses. This is going to open up my options for binoculars. What I'm most hoping to gain is field of view. While wearing specs with various binoculars I tend not to see quite the whole fov. I reckon I see 7.5 degrees max.
So what suggestions do you have for a glasses free, wide angle binocular for me to try out? Assuming I like wearing contact lenses of course.
I really would like to be able to use a decent pair of porros so my immediate thought is Nikon EII because they are wider than SEs and extremely good optics for the money. Waterproofing isn't a priority because I can use my Meopta 8x32s in the rain.
I can't afford more than £500 max and would rather spend less.
So any ideas for wide fov (porros preferred but roofs also considered).
Best wishes,
Martin.

>>> Swift Audubon 8.5 X44 ED
£379 or £250 if you go for the non ED version, 8.2 deg field of view, I wouldn't part with mine.
I like your idea of the EIIs ![]()
