Has anyone had experience with digital camara binoculars?
Are they a waste of time?

I've only looked through a cheapish pair (not impressive) and haven't used any to take photos. I've yet to see a vaguely positive review of any.
We've had two different brands to play with. Really they are little more than toys.
Whilst the focus on the bino section can be focussed, the digital camera is usually a simple fixed focus camera of around 2-3 mp. Distant full frame shots come out okay, but not closer ones where you want detail and with the 'photo' of medium quality setting ie 800x600 or at most from the ones I used 1600x1200 there is little scope for cropping and little detail captured.
