Does need for reading glasses affect Bin use?

As I get older it's getting harder to read in dim light (i.e. restaurant menus!). I can tell the days of needing reading glasses is approaching.

Sorry if this is a dumb question, but does this type of vision problem affect binocular usage?

Currently I don't need to purchase a bin that would work well with glasses. I'm just trying to make sure that won't change in the future as my need for reading glasses increases.

If you're simply short or long-sighted you can use binoculars without your glasses on perfectly well (although some people like to keep their glasses on for various reasons). You'll automtically focus the binoculars to compensate. If you have astigmatism you'll need to wear your glasses when using binoculars to get the best view (unless the astigmatism is very mild). Hope that helps.

If your two eyes are different, for reading, this means you need to adjust the diopter on the binoculars more. Sometimes often, depending on the power of the binocular and the model.
