Fujinon CD binoculars, anyone??

The Fuji CDs haven't received much commentary. BVD was fairly critical of them, but before they had phase coating. Cornell had them middle of the road.

I was quite impressed with the phase coated 10x42 - sharp, great color, great stray light control, solid build, smooth well speeded focus - just couldn't go 10x.

Has ANYONE else tried these, especially in 7x42?

I tried the 7x42s, but the pair I tried did not have the phase coatings. When Fujinon first started claiming they had added phase coating, no one seemed to be advertising it. I thought they were nice, and would have loved to see a pair with the phase coatings. I bought a pair of Swarovski 7x42 SLCs instead, over both the Fujinons and the Zeiss 7x42s.

It is odd that they having been promoting these more.

Alan,

Thanks for the reply. It seems as if few have tried these, despite what seems like a good quality to price ratio. Fuji just seems to be half heartedly promoting these, despite the overall large size of the company.

In your last statement, did you mean to say "haven't"?
