help with old binocs

Hi,
I'm more of a photographer than a watcher, but I came across some old binoculars that have surprising clarity and sharpness. I've looked online to find out about them, but can't find anything. The closest I've come is that they say "Neptune" in script letters on the left side, and Swift made some Neptune binos. However these don't say "Swift" on them anywhere. They do say they were made in "Occupied Japan", which would put them in the late 40s to early 50s.
I've noticed some guys on here have a lot of expertise in binoculars, so I was wondering if anyone could give me some help in identifying these. I'm including some pics.

Thanks
Nathan

Hi,

The binocular was made by Fuji Precision Optical (FPO) which is today better known as Fujinon.

Gary.

I'll second Gary with one small exception. I think the company name was Fuji Photo Optical as seen on this page of 1966 Japanese optical company logos from the Peter Abrahams website.

You're right about the date of manufacture. MADE IN OCCUPIED JAPAN was used from 1947 to 1952
