Hello bird watchers!
First of all, a disclaimer: I'm not a bird watcher, and I don't even know much about birds. But I'm working on a script where the main character is a 14 year-old bird watcher. The script is set in 1952. I'd be very pleased if anyone in the group could give information about binoculars available at that time.

I would imagine this 14 year old in your story would be using some old army binoculars which were a gift from an uncle who served in the military.
I agree with you Larry, I truely appreciate your clever comment. But: he gets a job and wants to save money to buy a nice pair of binoculars to his best friend, a girl he loves. He might not even be able to afford it, but he'll try hard to.
