I have a 28x110 which i used for digiscoping. I was thinking whether if a upgrade to 80mm refractor will improve the digiscoping image? If one side of binocular equals to a refractor, then it will not improve as the refractor is 80mm and my bino is 110mm in diameter
If your 28x110 is like this one:

it's an f/4.7 achromat. That's a telescope, but not a very good one. A high quality 80mm APO will certainly be optically better even with the smaller aperture.
