keeping eyecups supple

Is there a favored method to keep roll-down eyecups supple and pliable? Somehow my collection of binoculars has weeded out the "latest and greatest" and most have the roll-downs. After my experience of trying to get replacement eyecups from Bushnell for the original Elites, I have decided to try to keep alive what I already possess. I actually prefer the twist-up eyecups, but I also prefer specific qualities of the "older" binoculars (especially my prized 8x32 Nikon SEs, Zeiss 10x56 nightowls, Zeiss 7x42 classiks) of which I have managed to collect many.
Thanks for your help!

Hello nyatt,

Just today I read several posts here in the Nikon forum
http://www.birdforum.net/showthread...174#post1268174
that several folks have had good luck using ArmorAll on Nikon SE eyecups.
I'm going to try it myself.

Regards
Jim
