looking for the perfect binos

Hello,

I´m fom Germany. I bought a zoom bino from Eschenbach 7-15x35 on Ebay recently which I use for nature viewing. Now I´m looking for 2 other binos: 1 compact for rock and pop concerts, should have 10 or 12x magnification, diameter from 25 to 30mm, bright picture, should be light and compact, water and fogproof would be fine. The second should have superb optical quality, magnification from 10-12x, diameter between 40 and 45mm, it should be relatively light and compact, would use it for natureview, birding and maybe astro view. Must be water and fogproof. In both cases I look for best value for money. The small one should not cost more than $ 500, the budget for the bigger one is $ 675. Which are the best choices? Hope to hear from you soon. Thank you very much in advance.

Kind regards, Sven Sambrook

Assorted 8x32s are your best bet for concerts, they have a wide field and plenty of power, even 7x would do. Pentax, Minox, Vortex, Opticron etc.
Perhaps the Bushnell Custom compact 7x may be the best, you will not tire holding it.

Excursion line has both 8x28 and 8x32, also 10x28 but not recommended by me. The only 10x I would look at in the Excursion line is

I merely gave these as cheaper options that will be much less than 500. I would put most of the money on the bigger pair, perhaps the Vipers suggested below.

Hello Sven,

You posted the prices you wish to spend in dollars. Do you plan to make your purchase in the States?

Happy bird watching,
