I quite like my 8x30 porro but feel it will eventually disintegrate. I'd like to buy an 8x32 roof one day but have heard things about a lot of false color in this price range. Is there a big difference between the upper-middle models like the Kahles and Pentax and the lower-mid models like Eagle Optics and Celestron in this respect? My eyes are a little sensative to false color and the type of birding I do would seem to bring it out were it present. The best resolution in the world will not do me any good if I am annoyed by fringing. I have also considered the 10x25 ultravid. It is one of the only 10x binoculars I have ever liked, but the field is a lot narrower than I am used to.
