Not wanting always to carry my binos around I thought about buying a monocular. Anyone hear using one? Suggestions for a general purpose use is greatly appreciated.
The Docter 8x21 Mono has excellent optics and at about €100 is only a fraction of the cost of the Zeiss and Leica roof-prism monoculars.

I've got both a Brunton 7x18 and an Alpen 8x25. They're fun to play with but I prefer compact bins instead. As a satisfied Zeiss owner (Victory 10x25), I was rather unimpressed with all their monoculars and didn't find them any better than the easy to use Alpen.
