Hello Forum.
I'm a beginner and want to buy my first pair of binoculars, but then I do not know if I have money too soon to invest in another. My goal is daytime terrestrial viewing in nature, landscapes, birds, sport. Binoculars I have in view are these Porro/Roof equivalent to costing in the range of "$150 to $170" (my limit of investment):
Bushnell Excursion 8x42
Leupold Acadia 8x42
Pentax PCF WP II 8x40
Nikon Action EX 8x40
My question is which despite the resistance durability issue:
1. In similar conditions of use binoculars Roof descollimated unless a Porro?
2. Despite testimony that I got, I confess that even I am interested in the type Porro (8x40) level models: Nikon action EX; Pentax PCFII (That although they are less resistant than a Roof, supplying my needs). So, in my situation which model you choose?
Thanks a lot.![]()
It's always quite difficult when buying optical equipment, I had a similar problem when I wanted to upgrade my binoculars. With the budget you have given you should be able to get a good pair. Bushnell are a good make of binoculars. Have you looked at Swift?
Are the brands you have mentioned above the ones you have narrowed it down to?
I´m brazilian. This week my friend will travel to New York and buy my first pair of binoculars. I'm doing budgets over the internet and my question is whether the prices announced by sites (like Adorama.com; bhphotovideo.com; binoculars.com etc.) are equivalent to the physical stores in the streets of New York? The prices are more expensive or cheaper?
Thanks, and please reply as soon as possible.
