Most were porros, but I am also referring to the status brands (alphas) mostly. For example, Leitz (aka Leica) made a 7x35 roof also i think. Yes we still do have the SE's at least of the non-status realm.

To the best of my knowledge they no longer are in production. I did just see that Swift Audubon 820 (non-ED) which appears to be discontinued based on B and H Photo. Not a true 8x40 but still.....
Glad I held on to my Nikon 7x35 E. Wonderful little binocular with a beautiful image.
