Pajaro bags for binoculars
Off subject, but do you like your Pajaro bag? I have considered purchasing it (the Grande). Can you load it up nicely? You are the only person I know of that has one. I am curious. I just purchased a bin case from Sportsmans Outdoors Products and was so disappointed - am sending it back.
Lulubelle:

I have a Pajaro "regular" waist belt bag and it works find though it's perhaps smaller than I'd like. And not all the pockets are useful.

It can take the bins in the bigger back pocket and in the smaller pocket a "smaller" field guide (a Peterson "Western" or "Eastern" or a Kauffman or the smaller Sibley (but that's a squeeze) but not a Nat Geo or a "full" Sibley or the Collins European field guides with a bin.

If you are just toting the bin (I'm moving to this) then it would take a big field guide like the NatGeo, the new big Peterson 5th edition but the "full" Sibley is a squeeze. Or even a NatGeo + Hawks in Flight. Then use the front pocket for a field notebook.

The smaller front zipped pocket does not fit any compact bins I own (unlike their advertising but it might fit a small field notebook but it isn't quite tall enought for that.

Side pockets are nice for pens (and perhaps a voice recorder for voice notes).

The Grande is bigger and I think might be able to do the bins + NatGeo together. I'm considering a black one.

That said the last couple of times I've been out in the field I've been more in British mode and not actually looking at the field guides more concentrating on the birds until I really, really have to look at the guide.
