Cameras and Lenses

present for my mom

I'm looking for a good pair of binos for my mom she wears glasses and is looking for high powered binos that allow a good amount of light in im on a budget of max $200

In terms of optical quality I would stick with porro prism bins if you are restricted to a 10x in that price range. The Bushnell Natureview tends to get good reviews but I have not tried them personally and I have no idea what the eye relief level is for them. The 10x36 Nikon Buckmasters (a renamed Sporter I) might be a good option. They offer excellent eye relief, are fairly compact compared to a full sized roof prism or porro and are offered well within your price constraints.

Look around your area for a dealer who sells Celestron binoculars. See if you can get an 8 x 32 Porro Prism in the "Ultima DX" series. They cost about $160.00 They have a 16mm eye relief which is good for glasses and they also have a very wide, user friendly field of view of 429 feet at 1000 yards. They weigh 30 Oz and are nicely compact for small hands. Adorama may carry them and also B & H Photo.
