I just snagged some 10x42 Steiners. Very clear glass and bright as well.
I have noticed that when using them by eyes are becoming tired. Im using them primarily off hand at this point cause I just got them. I spent time this morning adjusting the focus and diopter very well.
I could see very clearly WELL!!! but my eyes were trying to focus too hard.
I put on my glasses and used them and my eyes felt much more relaxed and the strain seemed to disipate.
I am wondering if my stigmatism is causing my strain when I use them with out my glasses.
Anyone with a stigmatism cant use binos with the naked eye?

Binoculars don't correct astigmatism (unless they have a flaw that just happens to complement that of your eye :) -- more of a theoretical possibility than something that has actually been documented. That is one of the main reasons that many glasses wearers, including myself, use their bins with glasses on.

I was just thinking my personal eye problems may be the cause for eye strain at 10x. It seemed to ease up when I had my glasses on.
Anyone else cant use bins without their glasses?
Thanks for the feedback!
