Can anyone tell me if the Swarovski 8.5 x 42 El objective lens covers and plastic eyepiece rainguard will work on the Nikon 8 x 42 Premier LX? If not, any recommendations for an alternative to what Nikon supplies? Thanks.

The objective and ocular covers for the Swarovski 8.5x42 EL will fit the Nikon 8x42 LX. The ocular cover stays in place but does not press on for a tight/secure fit. I find the objective covers fit nicely, though on my EL they are on the loose side. The Leica 8x42 Ultravid objective covers also fit the LX and are are much tighter. Which you prefer would depend on how easily you want to be able to flick them off.
