The best Bins Money can buy?

Catch the reviews in BBC Wildlife Mag for March 06. Swaro's come third, I always knew they were for Dudes, Ultravid's which I PX'ed for my previous vids came second, Ziess a dismal third, but first was Nikons. Can you really trust this Mag?

I think the argument could be made for any of the "big four" depending on what characteristics you find desirable in a binocular. The focus mechanism, flatness of field and color representation are usually highly regarded on the Nikons....the Swaros' ergonomics and overall pleasing view...the Leica's bright image and rugged build...the Zeiss's resolutions and brightness. I just chose a few characteristics for each bin. It is really up to the consumer and what matters the most to them.

I echo frank's reply.

I looked through a pair of the Nikon lighweights at the weekend and they were stunning; incredibly bright and light but they had that Leica 'notchy' focussing wheel.....lots of the Leica's I've tried have had the famous 'notchy' focussing.

John.
