I notice my EII and Tasco 8x42 roof prism have threaded objectives. Is that so you can attach a filter to the barrels? If so, what filters would be recommended? Any comments appreciated.

Why would one use filters on an otherwise perfect binocular (EII)?
it would be interesting to put some polarized filters on so you could cut down on any glare. But then it might make some birds look really weird -color wise.
