All reverse porro
-Nikon Prostaff 8x25 - $90
-Pentax 8x25 UCF-WP,- $90
-Vortex Vanquish 8x26 - $119
I've owned the Prostaff 9x25 and it had very nice optics. I just bought some Pentax Papilio and I'm really impressed with their optics. I own the Vortex Raptor and love the sharp views. So I know they are all three likely decent but I need to give the nod to one of them.
So can you all help me choose my new compact from the above three? Can you tell me why you like your choice?
I guess what I most want advice on is comparison of optical quality.
I'll tell you right now that I want to buy the Vanquish emotionally and for the FOV but I'd love to have at least one more concrete reason to spend thirty bucks more.
Heck, why quibble? For 30 bucks get the one you like best! Besides, the Vortex warranty is probably the best in the business.

OK that's a good reason, although the Nikon warranty isn't any slouch. I guess I just want to be reassured that the Vortex optics are at least equal to Nikon and Pentax. I've known them for many many years and Vortex is the new kid on the block for me. It comes down to that. What I'd really like to do of course is buy one of each. I've got it that bad. Plus this is the fifth optic I've bought since november. I didn't want to admit to that but my twelve step guide is standing right here by my chair.
