Yesterday I picked up a pair of Bausch & Lomb 1943 U.S. Navy 7X50 Mk 1 Mod 2 Binoculars. One eyepiece is tight but the other one is stuck. It looks like the previous owner used a pliers :( to try and get it loosened but to no avail. When I turn the eyepiece counter clockwise, it unscrews the whole eyepiece assembly.
What is the best way to loosen the eyepieces? I thought about a couple of drops of oil, but I don't want to get it on the objectives.
Thanks,
Chad
