This weekend I am going to Fort Worth for a day and cannot decide which binoculars to take with me, I will only use them once so compactness is not a issue.

Seems like you could do with an 8x32. But take the 7x35.
I assume you purchased each bin to meet a specific requirement. That being the case, and weight/compactness not being as issue, which of those requirements is most likely to be the case for the one time you use the bins on your trip? I think that would be your answer. I usually travel with two bins, an 8x32 LXL and a 10x25 LXL. Have a great trip!
