I can't seem to find much in the way of reviews. Does anyone here have any experience with them? Are they made in Japan? $299 seems like a very good price - though they are being discontinued.

"I ordered these thinking XD and ED meant the same thing. What I found was that when I viewed objects in low light, these were superb. Then the sun came out and severe chromatic aberration appeared. Ducks on a lake seem wrapped in a green aura, something I never experienced with my 25-year-old $50 10 x 50 Bushnells. Otherwise, all manufacturing aspects of this bino are top notch. Great to look at, useless for looking through. The same model in a different size might be better. "
