When I had a moment trialling some different binoculars, I found that when I panned the shrubs for birds it was almost a sea sickness sensation of not seeing an horizon? Is that the rolling ball effect? Are some makes more prone than others, I tried the Swaro EL old style and found they had more of an effect than the Leica. Would it be something that one would become acustom too?
Yes, it is. Since you can see it, you must avoid bins that has it. Bins to avoid; Swarovision, Kowa Genesis 8x44, Nikon LX(L) (afaik). Bins that does not have it; Zeiss FL, Leica Ultravid, Zen ED2, among others.
Good question,
I have not seen it in any bins, a search may find some answers.
It seems the new Swaro. has some reports of it, but most will not see it.
Swarovski would not have brought out the new model if this a problem
of any significance.
