This question refers to your favorite model, not to non-extant models that you would like to see offered.
Example: my favorite binoculars are Swarovski EL 8x32. I would improve them by
-extending the rubber armoring to the entire binocular, because the black area that is not armored (between the barrels) is unpleasant to touch in cold weather.
-slap some apochromatic objectives on them, so that i don't see color fringing when i am looking at vireos perched at the top of a tree.
-supply a decent field bag, such as the one supplied with Zeiss FL
-supply a better neckstrap, the new ones slip and the plastic pieces break
-supply a rubber rainguard, the plastic click stop one is interesting engineering, but not practical.
Tough question. I am not sure which is my favorite bin right now.
However, the Nikon Venturer/HG 8x42 has been my favorite the longest. They have already addressed the weight issue with the new model however I wouldn't mind seeing them about an inch shorter in overall length with a slightly wider field of view...but ofcourse with just as flat of a field. [

Leica trinovid for me,i've had three different models of them when i've not been quite so skint!
Other newer models might have marginally improved optics, but none of them come close to the trinovids build quality usability and ruggedness,
They need to be lighter though, much lighter,i'd also like a rubber coated focus wheel instead of plastic!
Sure the ultravids are great, but they don't quite have that ''army issue''
feel to them like the trinovids?
